Hypnotherapy - A Unique Anxiety Panic Attack Cure
Hypnotherapy is a form of focus and concentration that
probes into the subconscious mind. The person administering the
hypnotherapy guides the one being hypnotized into a trance-like
state in which all distractions are blocked out and the
individual is highly susceptible to specific suggestions or
commands. The administerer of the hypnotherapy is referred to
as the hypnotherapist, who is generally trained and
qualified.
Hypnotherapy, when combined with other forms of counseling
and therapy, can be quite an effective anxiety panic attack
cure, because it allows a person to explore their mind for
hidden thoughts, feeling and memories that may be the
underlying cause of a mental disorder. The perception of an
individual under hypnosis also changes, because they can
experience an emotion while blocking out others, or recalling
an event while suppressing a certain feeling.

1) Suggestion Therapy: This refers to getting a patient
under a trance-like state in which their subconscious mind is
open to suggestions. For example, a patient can be advised to
stop smoking, be relaxed, or stop biting their nails, and since
they are in a hypnotic state, they are more open to changing a
habit that is deep-rooted in their subconscious.
2) Analysis: Hypnosis can also be utilized to analyze the
core root of a patient's problems, since the patient, in a
trance-like state, may be able to recall traumatic events
better while describing them with great emotional detail, thus
helping the therapist evaluate the problem in greater
detail.
Basically, the two main benefits of this unique type of
therapy is to open the patient up to discussion and to
habit-changing suggestions.
As an anxiety panic attack cure, it can be used to identify
the root cause of a patient's mental disorder and/or to deliver
a valuable message to their subconscious and unconscious
mind.
In general, however, hypnotherapy cannot be relied upon as a
cure in and of itself, it is usually supplemented with other
forms of treatment.
There are disadvantages to using this type of therapy. If a
patient suffers from severe psychotic symptoms or is frequently
intoxicated by drugs or alcohol, then hypnotherapy may not be a
suitable option.
Another drawback is "false memories", or imaginative events
inside the mind of the patient. It is very difficult to verify
whether an event actually occurred, and the greatest testimony
to this is dreams, in which entire worlds are created by the
mind.
Even though it has drawbacks, hypnotherapy is not a
dangerous procedure, since it does not involve controlling the
mind or brainwashing. It has not been shown to damage the
psyche of an individual or to trigger a mental disorder.
It should always be performed by a licensed professional who
practices this as their specialty. Beware of "hypnotherapists"
that do not have any real credentials.
