How to Cure Anxiety and Panic Attack
Panic attacks can be successfully treated and cured,
however, there is no real cure for anxiety. This is because
anxiety is a necessary human emotion to deal with threatening
or major life situations. Anxiety is completely normal, however
in excess, it can be harmful to an individual's state of mind
and health. So, the more appropriate "cure" to seek is one for
panic attacks and for "excessive" anxiety.
The 1st step in seeking an anxiety panic attack cure is to
recognize a problem and to evaluate the extent of this problem.
For example, you could be experiencing very normal emotions in
response to a certain life event and you may perceive this as
excessive anxiety. Therefore, it is important to identify the
problem, its extent, and its causes. This is referred as a
proper diagnosis, and it can be done by a qualified medical
practitioner.
Keep in mind that the earlier you identify the problem, the
better your chances of preventing future occurrences and the
better likelihood of a full recovery.
There are several options/individuals that you can approach
for an anxiety panic attack cure. However, keep in mind that no
individual, institution or drug has the capability to cure. All
of these options offer a treatment that helps you identify and
eradicate root causes while making the symptoms more
manageable. The real cure lies outside of your self, and it can
only be achieved through a strong will, dedication and
motivation.
Here are some healthcare providers that can offer help in
finding a cure for anxiety and panic attack:
Family Physician: Although these are medical doctors, they
do have a basic training in identifying mental disorders and
treating mild cases, particularly if your anxiety is caused by
some sort of physical illness. However, if you are suffering
from a true psychological disorder, the physician can refer you
to a mental health specialist.
Nurse Practitioner: As registered nurses, these
professionals additional training and they closely mimic the
roles of doctors. They can also treat mild problems and/or
refer you to a specialist if needed.
Psychiatrist: Specializing in mental disorders or illnesses,
this medical doctor may be your best option in case of a
serious problem. They can prescribe drugs while administering
other forms of theraphy, depending on the type of disorder you
are experiencing.
Psychologist: These individuals cannot prescribe medication,
but they can offer many types of counseling and therapy options
that may be very beneficial. They have effectively mastered the
field of psychology and understand human behavior very
well.
Social Worker: They may not be able to offer direct therapy
or help, but they can help identify a problem and give you an
overview of basic anxiety panic attack cures and
treatments.
